Summary

The post-holder will work as a trainee as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering, high-quality; brief outcome focused evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties including anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties. The post-holder will work with children, young people and their families from diverse cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when required. The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering, under supervision, high quality, outcome-informed/ focused, evidence-based interventions. The post-holder will also oversee elements of participation. This includes engaging all children, young people and families in various ways to gain feedback, participate in shaping services and running appropriate participation groups within the services. The post holder will be required to be creative, flexible, adaptable, professional and motivated in all aspects of their role, both in clinical delivery and within the development of the service provision. Where appropriate to provide support for the work of other members of the multidisciplinary team and signpost children, young people and families to appropriate support/services. These posts are fixed term for 12 months, with the intention that on completion applicants will be able to apply for any qualified CWP posts available within CAMHS once the course is complete. A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010. Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
