Summary

Participate in outpatient clinical commitments in the National Amyloidosis Centre to gain a unique understanding of plasma cell disorders and amyloid-related diseases. 2. To work with other clinical fellows in the centre and provide appropriate clinical cross cover for within the unit and provision of advice to other centres. 3. To manage and care for clinical trial patients with amyloidosis. 4. Other clinical duties will be agreed in consultation with the post holder. There are no on-call commitments as part of the role, but it may be possible for on-call commitments to be arranged if so desired by the post holder. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES To contribute to the overall activities of the research team and Centre as required. To attend meetings and lectures as scheduled within the Centre. To undertake an amount of teaching in relation to subject area as requested. To contribute to the induction and direction of other staff and students as requested. The duties of the post outlined above are not exhaustive and the post holder will be expected to be cooperative and flexible, undertaking any other duties which are consistent with the post. The post holder will maintain an awareness and observation of Fire and Health & Safety Regulations. The post holder must at all times carry out their responsibilities with due regard to the Trusts policies including Equal Opportunities policies. RESPONSIBILITY FOR FINANCIAL AND PHYSICAL RESOURCES Ensure adherence to guidance on expense policies and leave Ensure demand management for test requests RESPONSIBILITY FOR LEADING AND MANAGING Ensure good time management to balance time between clinical and non-clinical duties. RESPONSIBILITY FOR INFORMATION RESOURCES Ensure compliance with data protection act and local Trust Information Governance policies. RESPONSIBILITY FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT Ensure high quality research data is collected. Ensure that the data conforms to Trust guidelines for confidentiality and Information Governance. Aim to publish data.
