Summary
Assist in the preparation of patients for non-invasive cardiology investigations (e.g., ECGs, Holter monitors, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring). Provide reassurance and clear instructions to patients before, during, and after procedures. Clean, check, and maintain cardiology equipment, reporting any faults promptly. Support senior staff in attaching and removing monitoring devices and ensuring accurate labelling and documentation. Prepare and maintain clinical areas, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for patient use. Receive, unpack, and store cardiology consumables and equipment, following stock rotation procedures. Input basic patient and test information into departmental IT systems with accuracy. Assist with the filing, scanning, and distribution of reports as required. Adhere to departmental infection prevention and health & safety protocols. Participate in training and competency assessments relevant to cardiology services.
