Summary
Job Title: Class 1 Driver
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: £16.84- £24.14
Hours: 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm starts
Shift Pattern: Flexible
Contract Length: Temporary Ongoing
Location: Motherwell
Main Duties:
- Transport goods via a fixed trunking route between Motherwell and Lockerbie, typically completing two round trips per shift.
- Ensure timely and efficient deliveries, adhering to scheduled departure and arrival times to maintain the logistics chain.
- Follow all road safety laws and driving regulations, including tachograph and driver hours compliance.
- Secure and oversee the safe loading and unloading of goods, ensuring load security and minimal risk of damage in transit.
- Complete necessary documentation and reporting, including delivery records, vehicle defects, and incident reports if applicable.
- Conduct pre-operational vehicle checks to ensure the HGV is roadworthy and compliant with safety regulations before each journey.
Key Skills:
- Proven Experience in a Similar Role
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification & Digital Tachograph card
- Maximum of 6 Penalty Points
- Strong Time Management & Communication Skills
