The Opportunity


We are recruiting for an experienced Repairs Supervisor to join a respected social housing provider in East London. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with a strong likelihood of becoming permanent.

The role offers a fantastic opportunity to step into a stable and rewarding position, overseeing responsive repairs and ensuring residents' homes are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day responsive repairs across social housing properties

  • Allocate workloads to operatives and contractors, ensuring jobs are completed on time and within budget

  • Carry out inspections and post-works checks to ensure compliance and quality standards are met

  • Act as the main point of contact for residents, ensuring excellent customer care and communication

  • Monitor KPIs and contractor performance, producing reports for senior management

  • Ensure all works are carried out safely and in line with housing legislation and health & safety requirements

  • Support continuous improvement in repairs service delivery and resident satisfaction

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Repairs Supervisor within social housing - essential

  • Strong knowledge of responsive repairs and housing maintenance

  • Experience managing operatives and subcontractors in a housing environment

  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a resident-focused approach

  • Knowledge of compliance, housing legislation, and health & safety standards

  • Full UK driving licence preferred
