This Teaching Fellow position is an opportunity to join the Cymraeg subject team at Swansea University, contributing to its exciting and innovative Cymraeg BA degree programmes. The position will involve teaching a variety of modules to undergraduate students with different linguistic abilities, contributing to First Language and Second Language degrees.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate and enthusiastic about teaching Welsh as a language, its literature and related cultural studies. The successful candidate will require a broad knowledge of the discipline in order to contribute to a wide variety of modules but may specialise in one or more of the following aspects: Welsh literature, language (grammar and/or language acquisition), Welsh law and language policy, translation, Welsh history, sociolinguistics, Professional Welsh and/or education.

The key responsibilities of the position include preparing and presenting seminar content, giving formative feedback, assessing coursework, and participating in activities to offer academic support e.g. office hours and review sessions.
The Teaching Fellow will support students' written and spoken Welsh development through seminars with small groups, workshops and one-to-one sessions. They will work closely with the teaching team to ensure that students receive an unparalleled learning experience. In addition, the post holder is expected to contribute to recruitment efforts and perform administrative roles for the subject.
