Summary

We are seeking an adaptable and skilled teacher who can create engaging learning environments and deliver targeted support across Years 1 and 2.

The Role – KS1 Supply Teacher (Year 1 & Year 2)

We’re seeking a qualified KS1 Teacher (QTS required) to join a friendly, supportive school community. This long-term placement offers the chance to truly make a difference in the classroom, becoming a valued member of an established and welcoming team.

You’ll be guiding children through their Key Stage 1 journey, delivering engaging and creative lessons with a focus on Phonics, Reading, and Year 2 SATs preparation. With full teacher responsibilities, this role is perfect for someone who thrives on inspiring young learners, nurturing their curiosity, and helping them reach their potential.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with recent experience in KS1, particularly Year 2
• Be confident with Phonics screening (e.g. Letters & Sounds, Read Write Inc., Jolly Phonics or similar)
• Have experience preparing and supporting pupils for Year 2 SATs in Reading, Writing, SPaG and Maths
• Be confident in using formative and summative assessment to inform planning and progress tracking
• Demonstrate strong behaviour management and a nurturing approach
• Be adaptable, enthusiastic, and committed to inclusive teaching that supports all learners, including those with EAL and SEND
• Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff alike
