Are you an experienced Bid Writer with a background in drainage, utilities, or similar? Vector Recruitment Solutions are working on behalf of a specialist drainage services provider to recruit a skilled Bid Writer to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in securing new business for a company that delivers essential services across liquid waste disposal, sewer clearance, septic tank emptying, hazardous waste removal, high-pressure jetting, and drainage surveying.
The Role
As a Bid Writer, you will:
- Write and develop high-quality responses for PQQs, ITTs, and frameworks
- Work with operational, technical, and commercial teams to gather accurate project information
- Produce clear, persuasive, and compliant submissions that reflect company expertise
- Manage deadlines, ensuring submissions are delivered on time and to a high standard
- Maintain and update bid libraries, templates, and supporting documents
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven bid writing experience in drainage, utilities, or a related industry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce persuasive content
- Experience preparing bids for frameworks and portals such as Proactis
- Good understanding of drainage services (e.g., jetting, surveying, tankering) would be advantageous
- Highly organised with strong time management skills
- Confident liaising with cross-functional teams to gather technical input

- Work from home, there may be occasional travel required to operational depots (South Coast to Yorkshire)
