Tayside Valuation Joint Board is an independent public authority that was established by The Valuation Joint Boards (Scotland) Order 1995.

The Board’s mission is to ensure best value and provide equitable, customer focussed, high quality, professional valuation and electoral services for all its stakeholders.

Our vision is to provide valuation and electoral services in accordance with statute and in a manner that is exemplary.

What we do:

We provide a professional valuation service for the Perth & Kinross, Dundee City and Angus Council areas in respect of compilation and maintenance of the Valuation Rolls and Valuation (Council Tax) Lists. We also compile and maintain the Registers of Electors for Perth & Kinross and Angus.

Requirements

You will have a good general education including preferably National 5 (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.

Responsibilities

To assist in the compilation and maintenance of the Valuation Roll, Council Tax Valuation List and the Register of Electors. To assist with the typing of letters and documents as required.

The Individual

Experience in the use of word processing packages and accurate key board skills are essential.

Effective communication skills and telephone manner, good numeracy and literacy skills as well as the ability to work to deadlines in a fast paced office environment. You will be able to work on your own or as part of a team, work to deadlines and deal with enquiries from the public.
