Essential
Working as part of a team
To be able to communicate effectively with allstakeholders
Good knowledge of the English and MathsCurriculum and its application
Knowledge of safeguarding and keeping children safe
A good understanding of how children learn
Experience in planning and implementing literacyand numeracy interventions programmes
Able to monitor and assess the pupils’ response tothe learning activities
Able to assist in feedback and assessment asrequired by the teacher
Able to provide an appropriate balance of challengeand support; having high expectations of pupils; anddeveloping their independent learning skills
Desirable
Experience across the primary age range
Record in providing effective intervention
Experience in planning literacy and numeracy interventions
Experience in modifying or adapting teaching and learning activities to achieve the intended learning outcomes
Experience in using Assessment for Learning practices
Working with children with Special Educational Needs and knowledge of code of practice for SEN
Up to date First Aid for children
