Summary

They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child on a 1:1 basis. The child has emotional needs and global developmental delay, and is currently working at a lower Key Stage 1 level.You will be responsible for following the child's EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) and delivering tailored support in phonics and basic maths.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a child with SEN, focusing on emotional regulation and academic development.
- Deliver phonics and basic maths activities in line with the child's EHCP.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress and adapt strategies.
- Create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
- Build positive relationships with the child to encourage confidence and independence.
What you'll need to succeed
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Phonics trained - essential for this role.
- Proven experience supporting children with special educational needs, particularly emotional and developmental challenges.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to learning support.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
