Summary
Job Title: School Cleaner
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 4:00pm – 6:30pm (12.5 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £12.50 per hour
Contract: Term-time only (with opportunities for overtime during holidays and events)
About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school premises to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Main Duties:
Cleaning classrooms, offices, corridors, and communal areas
Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely
Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting surfaces
Cleaning toilets and washrooms to a high standard
Restocking cleaning supplies and reporting shortages
Following health and safety guidelines at all times
Carrying out additional cleaning tasks as required
Requirements:
Previous cleaning experience preferred, but not essential
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good time management and attention to detail
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding standards
Reliability and flexibility to cover overtime when needed
