Summary

We have opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting those experiencing homelessness to join our Supported Accommodation team in Newport as a Project Worker! As a Project Worker you are the Key Worker and hold a caseload of individuals to work with.

It is essential for the successful candidate to have a full drivers licence & access to a vehicle.

Full Time – 37 hours
Permanent Contract
Salary for this role is £26,072.00 + £62.64 sleep-in allowance
The service is covered 24/7 which includes Days, evenings, weekends & sleep-ins.

Your day will consist of:

As a Project Worker you will lead each shift by managing the scheme and overseeing the Scheme Support Officers in the absence of the manager and the Lead Project Worker.
Engaging and interacting with our service users
Writing and following a support plan with the individual you are supporting
Delivering workshops relating to diversionary activities around tenancy management skills, individuals who have co-occurring needs and health and wellbeing
Liaising with external agencies
Addressing any additional needs, the people we support might have

Our motivation is to ensure we equip these individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently. This is a challenging role and you will be faced with complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol use, mental health, substance use and offending behaviour. You will work with a range of different personalities and behaviours so you will need to be able to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse cliental.

Part of your role will also include sleep-in shifts at the scheme, where you will be provided with a secluded area that includes a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen facilities.
