Summary
Please refer to the full job description & person specification The post holder will be a trained and competent phlebotomist with experience in a health care setting and will carry out duties to include clinics or any other department deemed necessary. This will involve routinely handling biological samples and it is therefore essential that he/she is aware of the departmental safety policies which must be observed at all times. The post holder will be required to perform a range of venepuncture techniques in a variety of clinical settings and will work without direct supervision. The post holder will be assessed on their practical skills and knowledge base and must have reached competency equivalent to QCF Level 3 Unit 4223/340 Obtain a Venous Blood Sample (HSC 3053). The post holder will be required to perform administrative tasks supporting the clinical investigation unit The work requires flexible approach to hours of employment. The department can operate from 7:00am 6:00pm Monday to Friday.
