Summary

Safeguarding and Wellbeing OfficerTerm time, 38 week per annumPart time, 25 hours per weekSalary: £15,062 per annum (£26,527 pro rata)Burton on Trent, Town Centre CampusWho are we looking for?The current BSDC Safeguarding team strive to ensure all College learners are safe, happy and protected. We are seeking a new member of the team to act as first point of contact for any learner safeguarding need. You will also take part in College wide safeguarding such as staff or learner training, reports, admin and meeting attendance.The successful applicant will be required to have excellent communication skills and work cohesively as a team and with parents, young people and other professionals.We are keen that the successful candidate is passionate about helping young people and adults, and has experience working with vulnerable people to positively improve outcomes.You will need to have compassion and empathy and be able to hold sensitive and challenging conversations with others. You will receive ongoing support and guidance within the team throughout your role.A Level 2 qualification in Safeguarding is essential, or a willingness to work towards this. Applicants should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths.
