Summary
Kilnbridge are currently looking for an Appointed Person to support our long term rail infastructure project in Acton (NW10) to plan, supervise, and ensure the safe execution of lifting operations in compliance with legal and industry standards.
Responsibilities
Planning Lifting Operations: Develop detailed lifting plans considering load weight, dimensions, site conditions, and equipment suitability.
Risk Assessment & Method Statements: Approve and oversee risk assessments and method statements for all lifting activities.
Equipment Selection: Choose appropriate cranes, lifting accessories, and rigging gear based on the task requirements.
Team Coordination: Liaise with crane operators, slinger/signallers, supervisors, and site managers to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of lifting plans, equipment inspections, incidents, and training certifications.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all lifting operations comply with LOLER regulations and BS 7121 standards.
Training & Competency: Verify that all personnel involved are trained, certified, and competent for their roles.
Requirements
CPCS Blue card - Appointed person (Mandatory)
SMSTS (Mandatory)
Experience in crane operations and supervison
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to assess site conditions and make safety-critical decisions in a railway enviroment.
