We are looking for a Loader to join our Client's Waste & Recycling Team.
As a Loader, you will play a vital role in keeping the community clean, safe, and sustainable. This involves the collection of household waste and recycling from residential properties, promoting recycling and waste minimisation, and working effectively as part of a supportive crew.
This is a hands-on outdoor role – ideal for individuals who are physically fit, enjoy working as part of a team, and want to make a difference in their community.
What You will Do
Safely load refuse, recycling, and organic waste from the kerbside.
Ensure bins, bags, and receptacles are emptied and returned correctly.
Support the driver when reversing and follow all safety protocols.
Promote waste minimisation and recycling awareness when engaging with the public.
Carry out vehicle and equipment checks, reporting any defects.
Remove any spilt waste to maintain clean streets.
Provide cover for cleansing or other refuse/recycling duties when required.
Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures at all times.
What We are Looking For
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role
Team player with good communication skills
Flexible and willing to learn
Full UK driving licence
Experience in customer service or waste/recycling operations is an advantage
