We are recruiting for an exciting role as a band 8a Allied Health Professionals (AHP) lead for our inpatient mental health services based at Prospect Park Hospital in Reading.

The AHP Lead for inpatient mental health services will provide senior clinical leadership for all AHPs within our acute inpatient mental health wards for adults and older adults. They will be an experienced and skilled AHP with significant clinical and leadership experience.

You’ll find a strong AHP leadership structure, learning resources and excellent peer support across the Trust.
• The post holder willprovide operational line management for the therapy team based at Prospect Park Hospital in Reading.

• They will deliver professional and operational leadership for AHP’s across inpatient servicesin accordance withtrust values, ensuring the delivery of effective,efficientand high-quality services for service users and their families/carers

• Be accountable for the professional and clinical performance of AHP staff within our inpatient mental health services

• To work collaborativelyto develop and deliver safe and effective servicesin accordance withkeykeynational targets, clinicalstandardsand service priorities

The “must haves” for this role:
• Qualification in an AHP profession
• Current HCPC registration
• Extensive experience of working as an AHP within mental health services
• Leadership experience
