Are you an enthusiastic customer facing professional who enjoys working collaboratively? We have an exciting opportunity to join us as the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre. As a receptionist, you will meet and greet visitors and customers, providing a professional and efficient reception service at the AMRC buildings.

You will deal with a range of enquiries by email, telephone and in person, as well as providing a general administration support service for the day-to-day operation of the business. This may include data input, booking travel, photocopying, preparing documents and assisting with events.

For this role, you will need experience of working in a customer-facing role and it is very important that you are able to communicate effectively. You will also need to have excellent organisational skills in order to maintain a high degree of accuracy in a busy environment.


● We are looking for someone experienced in delivering a high-quality reception service who is confident and capable of dealing with a wide range of enquiries and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment and timely notifications to staff.
● You will be a confident communicator able to facilitate and organise requests from both internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
● Your customer service skills will be excellent, providing a welcoming and professional environment for a wide range of staff, students and external stakeholders.
● You will receive and distribute incoming mail, log and distribute all incoming deliveries using the Goods Receipts Notification system, and ensure external parcels are collected on time for external distribution.
● You will have the opportunity to learn new skills in order to support the Admin and Hospitality teams by placing orders, managing the visitor management system and ensuring visitors and contractors understand the H&S policies and procedures.
● This would be the ideal role for someone enthusiastic about providing a positive customer experience and looking to work within a varied and busy role.
