Summary
We have immediate start positions available for experienced Care Assistants within a Care Home located in Derby.
The home caters for up to 26 Elderly service users who live with age-related illnesses such as Dementia and Alzheimer’s. The home is set over two floors with spacious communal areas available.
You will be assisting the existing team with the care of the service users and your main roles and responsibilities will include:
- Personal care (inc. strip washes, toileting etc)
- Following personal care plans
- Record keeping (such as fluid intake / condition updates)
- Assisting with the resident’s mobility
- Taking part in daily activities
- Completing domestic duties as required
- Generally being a friendly and supportive influence

To apply for this role you must;
- Have two employment references, one of which must be from a care home setting
- Hold in-date mandatory training certificates (inc. practical moving and handling, safeguarding vulnerable adults and infection control)
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 12 months or registered on the update service.
- Have a range of experience in the use of Hoists, Slings and Rotundas
- Have a minimum of 6 months paid UK work experience working within a residential care home.
This is an ongoing position
You will be working a variety of days between Monday to Sunday with typically hours being:
07:00 to 15:00
15:00 to 22:00
07:00 to 22:00
We will work around the days that you are available.
The rate of pay is between £12.25 to £12.75 an hour, depending on the days worked.
