Full-time, Permanent | 37 hours/week (Mon-Fri)
Our client are one of the largest contracting businesses in the UK, offering a broad scope of services including mechanical, electrical, high voltage, electrical vehicle (EV) infrastructure installation, test and inspection services, as well as street lighting.
Excellent opportunity as a skilled HIAB Operative to join their street lighting team in London.
You will be responsible for transporting, excavating, installing, and replacing street lighting columns across various sites,helping keep London's streets safe and well-lit.
What you'll be doing:
- Operating a Class 2 HIAB vehicle to transport and install street lighting columns
- Excavating and preparing sites safely and accurately
- Installing and replacing columns to spec
- Maintaining clear records and communicating with your team
- Participating in emergency call-outs when required
What you'll need:
- Valid Class 2 HGV licence + HIAB certification
- Experience in civils/utilities and highway excavation
- NRSWA Street Works card
- Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail
- Physically fit and happy to work outdoors in all weather
