Summary
Nursery Third in Charge – Early Years Leadership | Up to £32,900
Our client is a well-established nursery with a good Ofsted rating. It offers a nurturing and inspiring environment for children. They are looking for an experienced Nursery Third in Charge with a Level 3 Early Years qualification to support the leadership team and help ensure the smooth running of the nursery. This is a full-time, all year round role in a beautiful setting with age-appropriate playrooms, a sensory room, and a spacious outdoor garden, perfect for fostering children’s curiosity and development.
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working in early years settings, preferably in a leadership or senior practitioner role.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Passion for child development and delivering high-quality care.
- Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the nursery leadership team in daily operations and staff management.
- Assist in delivering high-quality early years education and care in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities in playrooms, sensory areas, and the outdoor garden.
- Mentor and support nursery staff, helping to develop skills and maintain high standards of care.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and families.
- Observe, assess, and document children’s progress to inform learning plans and share updates with parents.
- Contribute to regulatory compliance and support Ofsted readiness.
