Great opportunity for a Solution Architect to join our Payments Platform to orchestrate complex solution architectures with a broad architectural significance for key outcomes or epics by defining the architectures and designs that deliver our key outcomes aligning with our technology strategy. You'll play a substantive role in enabling teams to deliver at pace by shaping the solution architecture forward look for a lab or platform, and partner with Product Owners engineering teams and Enterprise architects.

What you'll do…

Lead the solution architecture of solutions for products that deliver customer value and meet our quality, resilience, financial and technical objectives.

Support the definition a solution architecture forward look within the QBR planning horizon to inform the product roadmaps. Considering currency and technical debt and key outcomes and epics, work ahead to shape the technical activities needed that allow teams to deliver and meet our architecture roadmaps in support of the product vision.

Analyse options and implementation alternatives to propose solutions and create designs using relevant architectural building blocks delivering modernised architectures

Align with architectural standards, protocols, principles and patterns and support the development of local standards and patterns as required. Where it is not possible to align with standards and patterns ensure an agreed position is reached, and technical debt or non-compliance is captured.

Provide technical direction or guidance to engineering teams on architectural solutions.

Research and recommend new technologies and tools to support solution development.

Ensure solutions are resilient, secure, and scalable, meeting key non-functional requirements which align with enterprise architecture and our technology strategy.

Participate in solution reviews to ensure compliance with standards.

Identify and help mitigate risks associated with solution architecture driving resolution through architectural or agile practices.

Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement in solution design and delivery.

Deliver solutions in an agile manner, participating in agile ceremonies and using agile tools, working with feature teams in the flow of the work, ensuring iterative development and seeking continuous feedback to enable incremental customer value delivery.

Maintain and enhance technical skills sufficiently to provide technical guidance and stay current with technologies industry trends and standards.
