Summary
Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operative to join a busy clients dynamic signmaking team. The successful candidate will be involved in the manufacturing, assembly, and finishing of a wide range of signage products, ensuring high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Pay: £12.50 - £13 per hour
Working Hours: 08:30 - 16:30
Key Responsibilities:- Operate machinery and hand tools to produce signs from various materials (e.g., acrylic, aluminium, vinyl).
- Assist in the printing, cutting, laminating, and mounting of graphics.
- Assemble signage components including LED lighting, frames, and fixings.
- Prepare surfaces and apply vinyl graphics with precision.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure finished products meet specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Support the team with general workshop duties and stock management.
- Follow production schedules and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment (signmaking experience preferred but not essential).
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or job sheets.
- Comfortable using hand tools and machinery.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., for job tracking or printing software).
