Instrumental Professional (Pedal Harp)
The City of Edinburgh Music School (Broughton High School)

Rate: £41.53 per hour
Hours: up to a maximum of 1 hour per week

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and experienced musician to join our specialist team. The role will include teaching gifted young musicians from beginners to Diploma level on Harp (1hr). This role will also involve ensemble work, aural and theory training, reporting, and preparing students for examinations, assessments and auditions. The successful candidate will have experience of working with specialist and/or conservatoire students and be willing to work flexibly in order to meet the needs of the service. They will also be an experienced performer working regularly at a recognised professional level with excellent communication skills and experience of working to demanding musical standards.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
