What You'll Be Doing:
-Championing a robust safety culture across the site, ensuring compliance with Mitie's Integrated Business Management System and third-party accreditations.
-Leading the charge in risk reduction—protecting people, property, and the planet.
-Supporting the wider QHSE function through incident investigations, audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
-Building strong, collaborative relationships with both internal teams and clients to drive engagement and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
-Develop and implement proactive risk mitigation strategies.
-Keep the team ahead of the curve with up-to-date knowledge of legislation and best practices.
-Ensure operational managers and staff are trained, competent, and confident in QHSE matters.
-Conduct specialist risk assessments, manage documentation, and support insurance claims.
-Be ready to roll up your sleeves for ad hoc duties that keep the business running smoothly.
What We're Looking For:
-NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum, level 6 Health and Safety qualification is advantageous
-Proven experience in Facilities Management or a similar industry.
-Strong background in Environmental Management, industrial work, and working at heights.
-Experience managing multi-site, multi-disciplinary operations—especially in Hard Services.
-Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
-A self-starter who thrives on independence and initiative.
-A full UK driving licence—a company vehicle is provided for site coverage
