Summary
DUTIES OF THE POST The post holder will undertake outpatient clinics in Asthma, TB & General Respiratory. It is intended that the duties of the post will be tailored to the individuals needs, taking into consideration the post holders prior experience, around the service elements of the role. LEVELS OF RESPONSIBILITY Experience This will depend upon prior experience and can be discussed. It is expected that the levels of responsibility will be that of a registrar. And the successful candidate will receive supervision from a named consultant with responsibility to develop the individuals training e-portfolio or equivalent. Personal Attributes The appointee will have good communication skills, should be well organised and skilled in good time management and be able to work effectively as part of a team. They should have an understanding of current NHS management and Trusts and be aware of the responsibilities that a Clinical Fellow post brings. TEACHING AND RESEARCH/STUDY AND TRAINING It is expected that the successful applicant will be able to access opportunities to attend weekly teaching and monthly educational departmental meetings. An expanding research and clinical trials programme is in place, in which the successful candidate will be expected to participate fully, with protected time for research and audit in the timetable. Depending on the candidates level of experience and needs, training opportunities can be tailored. The post is fixed term for 12 months
