Summary
A welcoming family living in the Surrey Hills near Guildford is seeking a reliable and experienced part-time Housekeeper to manage their spacious 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom home. With three older children who require no childcare, the focus will be on housekeeping, organisation, ironing, and support with the family’s two small dogs. Pet sitting and house sitting are also part of the role, offering variety and responsibility for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
• Daily cleaning and tidying across key living areas
• Deep cleaning on a rotational basis to maintain high standards
• Laundry and ironing to a high standard
• Changing and organising bed linen
• Managing household organisation, including linen cupboards and general storage areas
• Dishwasher loading/unloading and kitchen upkeep
• Taking out bins and recycling
• Grocery and household errands as required
• Regular pet care, including feeding, letting out, and walking of two small dogs
• Pet sitting and house sitting when the family is away (additional pay agreed in advance)
• Occasional ad hoc support such as photocopying, post office runs, or answering the phone
Requirements
• Previous experience in a similar housekeeping role in a private household
• Excellent ironing and laundry skills
• Eye for detail and pride in maintaining a tidy, organised home
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Trustworthy, reliable, and discreet
• Driver required
