Rydym yn awyddus i benodi athro/athrawes brwdfrydig i weithio o fewn y gyfundrefn trochi iaith Gymraeg yng Nghonwy. Mae’r gwasanaeth Cymraeg sydd yn eistedd o fewn y Gwasanaeth Gwella Addysg, wedi ymrwymo i ddarparu addysg a chefnogaeth o ansawdd uchel i ddisgyblion sydd wedi cyrraedd ysgolion Cymraeg o gefndir di Gymraeg ac sydd angen eu trochi yn yr iaith o fewn y Ganolfan.
Rydym angen unigolyn uchel ei gymhelliant sydd efo profiad o drochi disgyblion newydd i’r iaith, sydd gyda profiad penodol o arwain agweddau o lythrennedd o fewn eu hysgol ac sydd yn hollol gyffyrddus yn cynllunio ynghlwm â’r Cwricwlwm i Gymru, i gallu dangos ymrwymiad cryf i sicrhau cefnogaeth ieithyddol gadarn fel bod ein trochwyr yn dod yn siaradwyr Cymraeg rhugl yn eu hysgolion a’u cymdeithasau lleol ac ehangach. Prif rôl yr ymgeisydd fydd cefnogi y dysgwyr yn y tymor cyn cyrraedd y ganolfan a’r tymor dilynol, gan gefnogi yr athro ysgol gartref allu cefnogi y disgybl o fewn ei ddosbarth naturiol drwy gefnogi y cynllunio a’r ddarpariaeth.
Mae cydweithio yn rhan hanfodol o’r swydd hon a disgwylir i’r ymgeisydd llwyddiannus ddatblygu perthnasau gweithio mewnol gyda disgyblion a staff, yn ogystal â phartneriaethau allanol gydag ysgolion, ac ystod eang o weithwyr proffesiynol sydd o fewn rhwydweithiau addysg drochi.

Work base: Canolfan Iaith Conwy and Schools
We wish to appoint an enthusiastic teacher to work within the Welsh language immersion provision in Conwy. The Welsh language service, which sits within the Education Improvement Service, is committed to providing high quality education and support to pupils who have arrived at Welsh schools from a non-Welsh background and need to be immersed in the language within the Centre.
We seek a highly motivated individual who has experience of immersing new pupils in the language, who has particular experience of leading aspects of literacy within their school and who is comfortable planning the Curriculum for Wales, to be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to ensuring strong linguistic support so that our immersion learners become fluent Welsh speakers in their schools and local and wider societies. The main role of the candidate will be to support the learners in the term prior to arrival at the centre and the following term, supporting the home school teacher to be able to support the pupil within his or her’s natural classroom by supporting the planning and provision.
Collaboration is an essential part of this role and the successful candidate is expected to develop internal working relationships with pupils and staff, as well as external partnerships with schools, and a wide range of professionals within immersive education networks.
We need a candidate who can also support the learning within the centre at times, model immersive education within our schools and be able to promote and support the Welsh ethos and culture in our schools.
Due to the nature of the work, the post is subject to a satisfactory check by the Disclosure and Barring Service. I.t is a requirement that successful candidate will need to register with the Education Workforce Council prior to commencing employment.
