Summary
PERSONAL ASSISTANT REQUIRED to support a sociable,17-year-old young man with a great sense of humour who has Down’s syndrome living in the Milngavie area.
He is excited to find someone who he can relate to as a peer who shares their interests in sport (in particular football and golf), gaming, music and shares their good sense of humour.
This role involves social support and enabling him to engage in his local community. A typical shift may include golfing at a local course, going to the gym, trampolining, swimming, playing pool or visits to the cinema.
The ideal match will be patient, upbeat, active and positive and able to enthusiastically engage in the sporting activities the individual enjoys.
Due to the nature of the role a male is preferred
Driver preferred but not essential
Rate of pay: £14 per hour paid 4 weekly
Hours: 6 hours per week, split between 2 shifts on weekday evening and weekend- specific days/ times can be discussed at interview
PVG Scheme membership or update required by successful applicant- costs will be covered by employer
