Summary

Corporate and Civic Support Officer
Permanent - Full-time – 37 hours
B1 - £28,598 - £30,024 per annum

North Kesteven District Council is seeking an experienced professional to join the Corporate and Civic Support team; This post puts you at the heart of a busy and varied department which is critical in the efficient and effective delivery of the Council’s wide-ranging services.

Job Requirements:
• Prior work-related experience and/or equivalent NVQ level.
• Numeracy, literacy and IT skills.
• Skill and aptitude for audio typing (desirable).
• Ability to work overtime on occasion and a flexible approach to working hours, especially in the run up to elections and civic functions (potentially up to 4 evenings / weekends per year).

Key Responsibilities:
• To provide administrative support to the Democracy and Engagement Division (including elections) and the wider Council, including proof-reading documents and minute-taking at internal meetings.
• To transcribe specialist interview tapes which are required to be precise and accurate for evidence purposes.
• Undertake routine financial and data processing, including raising orders and requisitions.
• To assist with the processing of corporate post.
• Providing specialised support to the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of Council; diary management and assisting in the design and delivery of civic events.

You will be required to apply a high level of attention to detail when carrying out this role, to support the delivery of Corporate and Civic Support services at an operational level and show an appreciation of the contribution local government can make to the welfare of the people living, working, and visiting the district.
