Job Purpose:

We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Systems Tester to join our quality assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for validating complex software systems, ensuring that they meet technical specifications, functional requirements, and performance standards. You will collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA professionals to detect and resolve system issues before deployment.

Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities): 
Analyze system requirements, specifications, and technical documents to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Perform system-level testing, including functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and acceptance testing.
Execute manual and/or automated tests to verify software behavior against business and technical requirements.
Identify, document, and track software defects using test management and bug tracking tools.
Work closely with developers and business analysts to ensure accurate understanding of system functionality.
Validate data flow, interfaces, and system performance across multiple modules or subsystems.
Participate in test planning, test estimation, and continuous process improvement activities.
Develop and maintain testing documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test data sets.
Perform root cause analysis of system issues and assist in troubleshooting and defect resolution.
Contribute to test automation efforts and recommend tools or frameworks for improved efficiency.
Ensure systems meet defined standards for security, performance, reliability, and usability.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment] 
A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience for 3 to 5 years as a Systems Tester, QA Engineer, or in a similar quality assurance role.
Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices (e.g., ISTQB).
Hands-on experience in writing and executing test cases, test scripts, and test plans.
Proficiency with test management tools such as TestRail, HP ALM, Zephyr, or qTest.
Experience with bug tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.
Good understanding of system architecture, databases, and API testing.
Familiarity with SQL to validate data integrity and perform backend testing.
Knowledge of test automation tools such as Selenium, Postman, JUnit, TestNG, or Cypress is an advantage.
Ability to perform cross-platform and cross-browser testing.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting test results and collaborating across teams.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet project deadlines.
ISTQB or equivalent certification in software testing.
Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or DevOps environments and participation in sprint ceremonies.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps for continuous testing.
Understanding of security testing and knowledge of tools like OWASP ZAP or Burp Suite.
Experience with mobile, embedded, or IoT system testing.
Knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI to validate web services and integrations.
