Summary

Rate of Pay: £12.84 - £16.61 per hour

Summary:

Carmarthenshire County Council is seeking a proactive and organised Business Support Assistant to provide administrative support to the Fleet and Transport Maintenance team. The role will involve delivering high-quality clerical and customer service support, ensuring accurate records are maintained, and contributing to the smooth running of fleet and transport operations.

The ideal candidate will have excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office packages, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and service users.



Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Fleet and Transport Maintenance service.
Input and maintain accurate data and records in internal systems, including fleet and maintenance logs.
Prepare, update, and process documents such as correspondence, reports, purchase orders, and invoices.
Respond to telephone, email, and face-to-face enquiries from internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
Support scheduling, diary management, and coordination of meetings for the fleet and maintenance team.

Requirements:

Proven administrative or clerical experience in a busy office environment.
Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage workloads effectively, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to confidentiality and data protection.
