We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Systems Consultant to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with clients to analyze business needs, design and implement robust IT systems, and provide expert-level support for system integration and optimization. You will play a critical role in bridging business requirements with technology solutions, ensuring successful delivery of enterprise systems and infrastructure projects.
Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):
Collaborate with clients to assess current systems and identify areas for improvement, modernization, or integration.
Analyze business and technical requirements to design tailored IT system solutions that align with organizational goals.
Recommend, configure, and implement enterprise infrastructure and application systems, including hardware, software, networks, and security components.
Manage system integration projects, ensuring compatibility between new and existing systems.
Provide hands-on support during system installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment and adoption of IT solutions.
Document system configurations, procedures, and user guides to ensure maintainability and compliance.
Deliver training and knowledge transfer sessions to end users and internal teams.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions.
Support pre-sales activities by contributing to technical proposals, solution architecture, and client presentations when needed.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]
A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience (typically 2–5 years) as a Systems Consultant, Systems Analyst, Infrastructure Engineer, or in a similar technical consulting role.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies.
Experience in configuring and deploying enterprise operating systems, such as Windows Server, Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS), or Unix.
Proficiency in working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including cloud migration strategies.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture concepts and solution design methodologies.
Hands-on experience with virtualization tools such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Citrix.
Solid knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing.
Experience working with ITSM (IT Service Management) tools like ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or Jira Service Management.
Understanding of security practices including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, endpoint protection, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2).
Ability to manage and support enterprise applications, ERP/CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Salesforce), or middleware platforms.
Familiarity with automation and scripting using tools like PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Experience in database management and integration with systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously.
Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, VMware VCP, or ITIL Foundation.
Experience with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, or Git for infrastructure automation and CI/CD.
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with enterprise monitoring and logging tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk, or Prometheus.
Familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
