Summary
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established client based in Crumlin, South Wales, for an experienced Class 1 (CE) Trunker and Shunter Driver. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and professional depot offering reliable weekday work, early morning starts, and a supportive team environment. The role offers a mix of trunking and shunting duties, ideal for drivers who enjoy variety in their day.
About the Role:
Trunker Duties:
- Trunking goods to regional distribution centres such as Hemel Hempstead or Worcester.
- Ensuring secure and timely deliveries in line with scheduled routes.
- Completing routine vehicle checks and all relevant transport paperwork.
Shunter Duties:
- Moving trailers and goods safely around the depot yard.
- Supporting loading and unloading by working closely with the warehouse and traffic teams.
- Maintaining clear communication and following on-site procedures.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Start times from 05:30 AM
⏳ Finish times may vary depending on route and workload.
Pay Rate: £16.73 per hour
Requirements:
✅ Valid CE (Class 1) Licence
✅ CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
✅ Experience in trunking and/or shunting (preferred)
✅ A safety-focused, reliable, and professional attitude
