Summary
We are working with a leading independent school in Greenwich who are looking to appoint a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional learning needs.
The Role:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30m - 3.30pm)
- Start: ASAP
- Providing 1:1 support to a pupil in class and during wider school activities
- Assisting with personalised learning, behaviour strategies, and emotional support
- Working closely with the class teacher and SEN team to ensure progress and inclusion
- Encouraging independence, resilience, and engagement in learning
What the School is Looking For:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN or on a 1:1 basis (school-based preferred)
- Patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
- Proactive team player with a genuine passion for supporting young people
- Confidence in supporting literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum areas
Requirements:
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
- References covering the last 2 years
