An Outstanding SEN school in Lewisham is seeking a graduate to join their team as a SEMH Teaching Assistant, working with students who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, Autism, trauma-related difficulties, and behavioural challenges.
As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you'll support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups of up to 4 students, helping them to engage with learning and develop essential life and social skills.
SEMH Teaching Assistant - Key responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs
- Supporting pupils with SEMH, Autism, trauma-related difficulties, and behavioural issues
- Assisting teachers across a range of subjects and activities
