SEN Teaching Assistant - EYFS/KS1
Full-time, long-term role | £90 - £110 per day | Immediate start
Are you passionate about making a real difference for young learners with additional needs? We are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in EYFS and Key Stage 1 at a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hackney, N1.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language Needs, and Moderate Learning Difficulties.
- Use visual communication strategies such as PECS and Makaton to aid learning.
- Deliver interventions across literacy, numeracy, and speech & language.
- Support with sensory regulation and behaviour management using calm, proactive approaches.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and senior staff to track progress and ensure safeguarding.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or similar role.
- Knowledge of SEN strategies and confidence with behaviour support.
- Adaptability, patience, and a strong team ethic.
- Willingness to commit to a long-term role and make a positive impact.
The Offer
- Daily pay rate: £90 - £110 (depending on experience).
