Summary


Fixed Term Contract – 12 months

37.5 hours per week

We are looking for an advanced wound care podiatrist to cover a 12 month employment break in support of the podiatry department and acute foot multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver specialist foot care as part of the MDT at the Royal Free Hospital.

The acute foot MDT comprises diabetes, vascular, infectious diseases and podiatry treating complex and acute foot conditions. Treating and triaging patients into the defined clinical pathways both internally and externally will be a key component within the post holder’s role. Advanced wound care techniques are part of regular care.

The successful candidate is required to be able demonstrate Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. Post registration experience in diabetes, vascular disease and other acute foot conditions is a must. Candidates should be highly motivated, should have the ability to cope with and manage clinical emergencies, and positively manage stress in a busy and demanding environment.

This post also requires high level of understanding in clinical governance, audit, risk management, safeguarding, duty of candour and evidence-based practice.
