Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a Year 1/2 class. This temporary ongoing position begins after the October half-term and offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs.

This is a 5-day week role with the hours between 07:45 to 15:00. You will be working in a Reception year group, supporting pupils learning at an EYFS stage.
Duties as Year 1/2 SEND Teaching Assistant:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs.
Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering differentiated learning activities.
Help pupils to access the curriculum and develop confidence in their learning.
Support the social, emotional, and behavioural development of pupils in an inclusive way.
Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for the children.
Ideal Year 1/2 SEND Teaching Assistant:
Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND is essential.
A positive, patient, and nurturing approach.
Ability to adapt to the needs of individual learners.
Strong communication and teamwork skills as a Year 1/2 SEND Teaching Assistant.
- Needs to have a relevant qualification of Level 2 or higher.
