Summary


We are looking for motivated individuals to join our catering team at Blossomwood Hospital to work in the Ward Kitchens supporting the daily lunch and tea food service to patients.

Previous experience of working within a Catering environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

We have one 16 hour part time position available working 2 hours a day to cover lunch and teatime food service seven days a week (including weekends and bank holidays).

Daily Shifts would be between 15:30pm - 19:00pm Shift pattern and rota will be discussed in more detail at interview.

We have in-house training to help your personal development plans and will support you with all of your training needs.

Serving patients food at Lunch and Tea mealtimes, ensuring all equipment, utensils, working surfaces and areas are kept clean and tidy using correct cleaning methods, equipment and chemicals within the Ward Dining Room.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.

You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.

To support the Catering Department which provides high quality, safe and nutritious food for patients, staff and visitors. Specifically undertaking catering responsibilities as detailed in the Job Description following task schedules, method statements and procedures.

Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.

Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
