Weldmar Hospicecare Job Description and Person Specification Job Title: People Services Advisor Attraction & Advice Location: Weldmar Office, Dorchester/Hybrid working Hours of work: Full time (37.5 hrs) Grade: Weldmar Salary Scale Reports to: People Services Business Partner Responsible for: N/A Job Purpose Work in collaboration with the People Services Team, to support the provision of a professional and efficient People Services provision in line with legislation and Weldmars strategic plans and operational priorities. The main focus for this role will be around recruitment and first line advisory on HR Policy and procedure. Understanding that our people are our most valuable resource and integral to the success of Weldmars Strategy, working with our People Services Associates and Business Partners, you will be delivering the end to end recruitment service for Weldmar. Working with stakeholders you will use your understanding of labour market trends and recruitment methods, to create effective attraction, assessment and selection approaches for Weldmar and excellent candidate journey. Scope and Limits of Authority Reporting to the People Services Business Partner, you will support the People Services function in the coordination and delivery of a professional recruitment and advisory service. Responsible for: Be a super user of Weldmar's HRIS Creation of Contracts and Amendments to Terms and Condition documentation Provide first line advice on our People Policies and Procedures, escalating to Business Partners or Head of People Services where appropriate, Job tasks Recruitment: Ensuring that we attract the right applicants with the right skills at the right time in order to support the charities strategy. Proactively engaging with managers and People Services Business Partners to determine recruitment needs and how best to address them Reviewing job adverts to ensure they attract the best talent in line with employment legislation and Weldmars guidelines Working with People Services Assistant(s) ensuring an excellent end to end candidate experience including on-boarding all successful applicants efficiently, increasingly enabling this through technology as it develops Maximising the potential of digital recruitment including back office solutions Work closely with People Business Partners to develop resourcing plans that reflect workforce needs (short and long term) and translate these into coherent resourcing schedules To be in tune with the employment market and understand supply, demand and trends in recruitment, employee benefits and any other approaches of interest to Weldmar Influence and support employment branding initiatives including front end materials, website development etc Research, organise and/or attend recruitment fairs, assessment centres or other events that present Weldmar as an employer of choice Create and sustain effective partnerships with Schools, Colleges, Universities and other organisations to enable potential pathways into Weldmar employment Develop a set of metrics to support the measurement of recruitment success across the organisation, and as a result recommend interventions where necessary. Advisory: Provide focussed and professional first line People Services advice on people policies and procedures, including recruitment and onboarding, sickness absence, changes in contract, working closely with staff and managers to ensure a high quality, efficient service provision. Producing and tracking key People Services performance KPIs i.e. sickness absence, recruitment and retention, equal opportunities data to identify any trends and anomalies for analysis and strategic planning. Responsibility for employee records, data entry, data validation and retention on the HRIS, electronic folders and paper files in line with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other legislation. Lead on delegated projects, meeting agreed reporting timelines.
