About the role

We're passionate about promoting what we do at Plymouth Community Homes and making sure we effectively engage with our residents, staff, partners, stakeholders and the wider community to tell our story.

We're looking for a dynamic, driven and highly experienced Communications Manager to lead our external and internal communications approach, overseeing proactive and reactive PR as well as managing our media relations, stakeholder engagement, and delivering a new internal communications strategy.

Our ideal candidate for this role is someone who:

A highly experienced communications professional with extensive experience of working as either a senior journalist or within a senior leadership position for a large organisation
A strategic thinker who is comfortable advising the Executive Directors, Board members and Senior Management Team on communications, media relations and stakeholder engagement
A creative and imaginative storyteller with a flair for engaging campaigns and managing positive media relations
A strong leader able to coach, lead and support three Communications Officers
