EMHP Trainee (after training completed: MHST School Practitioner)

Band 4 – 1 x Training post within: Mental Health Support Team [MHST], once training completed, move to Band 5.

Camden Mental Health Support [MHST] Team have an exciting opportunity to recruit a EMHP Trainee to join their team(s) as part of the NHS England (NHSE) funded Children and Young People (CYP) Psychological Training Programmes (formerly CYP-IAPT).

CYP-PT is a government-funded initiative aiming to grow the child mental health workforce to meet much needed demand. This is a unique opportunity to apply your learning from weekly teaching into practical clinical interventions working with clients in the service making a direct impact in the lives of children, young people and their families.



Please note: The position could be based at differing sites, to include: Tavistock Centre, 120 Belsize Lane, LONDON, NW3 5BA and/or Ampthill Square, 219 Eversholt Street, LONDON, NW1 1DR and/or Camden Primary and Secondary Schools, successful candidates will be expected to travel to Anna Freud in North London (Rodney St, N1 9JH) for teaching during the training year.





Successful candidates will enrol in a full-time professional training programme to become qualified EMHPs. The course fees are fully funded, and the salary for the job post will be funded at NHS Agenda for Change (AfC) at beginning Band 4. You will gain credits towards completing with a postgraduate degree diploma level qualification, plus guaranteed employment on completion of training, with a starting salary projected to be based on the NHS AfC Band 5 scale.
