Summary

Business Development Executive
Glasgow - Hybrid - 3 days in the office
Role Overview

Our primary focus is to build strong relationships with new customers while expanding and nurturing existing ones. Using proven sales techniques from our in-house training programme, you will work towards achieving specific, measurable targets.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively identify and engage key stakeholders and decision-makers via phone and email to maximise sales opportunities.
Prospect for new business while maintaining and growing your existing customer base to generate and close sales.

Analyse and interpret sales data to prioritise workload and qualify opportunities effectively.
Prepare accurate and compelling quotes and proposals tailored to customer needs.
Report on sales activity using relevant data and systems.
Deliver exceptional customer service that earns positive feedback from both internal and external stakeholders.
Continuously deepen your understanding of our product offerings and refine your sales techniques.

Skills & Experience

Strong stakeholder management skills, from initial rapport-building to engaging decision-makers with purchasing authority.
Solid understanding of the sales cycle-from prospecting to closing.

Clear grasp of what excellent customer service looks like and how to deliver it.
Ability to identify buying signals and use persuasive communication to influence outcomes.
Confident verbal and written communication, with strong presentation skills.
Proven ability to manage, prioritise, and execute tasks independently and effectively.
Skilled in understanding customer needs, solving problems, and closing opportunities with minimal supervision.
Capable of working independently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining professionalism.

Strategic planning skills to build and manage a future sales pipeline.
High attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.

Commercially astute with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Experience in a B2B sales environment, ideally consultative, with a broad product portfolio.

Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
