About the Role:
Search Recruitment is looking for an experienced Rubber Duck Operator to take on exciting projects across East Lothian. This role involves operating amphibious excavators (commonly known as "Rubber Ducks") in both water and land environments, with an additional requirement to assist with lifting operations on site.
Key Responsibilities:
*Safely and efficiently operate amphibious excavators for dredging, land reclamation, waterway maintenance, and other related projects.
*Support lifting operations as part of site activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
*Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment to maintain optimal performance.
*Collaborate closely with site supervisors and team members to meet project timelines.
*Follow all relevant health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
*Report equipment issues or site hazards promptly.
Requirements:
*Proven experience operating rubber duck (amphibious) excavators or similar heavy machinery.
*Relevant licenses or certifications for operating heavy equipment.
*Experience with or ability to assist in lifting operations on site.
*Strong understanding of health and safety protocols and environmental compliance.
*Ability to work in challenging outdoor conditions including wet, muddy, and aquatic environments.
*Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
