Summary

This is an advertisement for 2 x positions at Canolfan Rheidol in Aberystwyth and 5 x positions at the Ceredigion Independent Living Centre in Felinfach. Please state in your application whether you are applying for a role in Aberystwyth, Felinfach or both.

We are looking to recruit 7 x Care and Support Workers to join our Targeted Care and Enablement Services Team.

Job details

We would love to hear from you if you would like a career supporting individuals to regain their skills and independence following acute illness or injury. This is an interesting and varied role which involves activities of daily living such as personal care, mobility, meal preparation and medication etc in their own homes.

We require 7 Care and Support Workers to work split shifts on 4 days on 4 days off rolling rota: the hours are 7-1 and 4-8 daily.

The service is Occupational Therapist led, setting client centered goals to regain as much independence as possible. The job is varied, and you will also be required to cover long-term bridging whilst waiting to source a package, further expanding your skills and knowledge.

The people you support have visits scheduled for specific times. Your workload is provided to you via an electronic call monitoring system, and you will be expected to manage your time effectively and keep to the prescribed schedule.

We provide uniform, work phone, laptop, pay travel allowance and ongoing training.

A Full driving license, car and ability to travel within the County is required.

All Wales Induction Framework (AWIF) for Health and Social Care to complete the above within the first six months of employment so that registration as a Social Care Worker with Social Care Wales can be completed within the timeline which is mandatory.

To hold or achieve within a reasonable timescale: – Level 2 QCF in health and social care or equivalent.

You will need a basic level of conversational Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
