Workshop Manager – Independent Garage | £40-50K + Bonus | Mon-Fri 8–6 | Family-Run Business – Farnborough Area
Are you a seasoned automotive professional ready to step into a leadership role? We’re working with a successful independent garage that’s proud of its family-run roots, modern approach, and strong reputation in the community — and they’re on the lookout for a hands-on Workshop Manager to join the team!
The Role:
You’ll take the reins of a busy, modern workshop, leading and supporting a team of 6–7 skilled technicians. This is a key position within the business where you’ll be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of operations and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and coordinate the daily workload of the workshop
• Support and motivate a team of 6–7 technicians
• Monitor job progress and ensure timely completion
• Use TechMan (fully digital system) to manage workflow
• Assist with parts ordering and stock control
• Liaise with customers where necessary and ensure excellent service
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and compliance
✅ What We’re Looking For:
• Experience in an independent garage is essential
• Strong technical background helpful (either as a technician or similar role)
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a big plus
• Familiarity with TechMan or similar workshop management systems
• Organised, hands-on, and great with people
The Package:
• Basic salary: £40,000 – £50,000 (depending on experience)
• Bonus scheme available
• Monday to Friday only – 8am to 6pm
• 20 days holiday + bank holidays
• Work with a tight-knit, family-run team
• Modern workshop with digitised systems throughout
