We are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in the Bromley Area. This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to gain classroom experience, support students, or take their first step into teaching.

What is a Cover Supervisor?

A Cover Supervisor manages a classroom during the short-term absence of the regular teacher. You don’t need to plan lessons – your role is to deliver the provided work, manage behaviour, and ensure a positive learning environment.

This is a great role for:

• Aspiring teachers
• Recent graduates
• Teaching assistants ready to take the next step
• Retired professionals looking to give back
• Youth workers, coaches, and mentors

Responsibilities:

• Supervising pupils aged 11–16 during teacher absences
• Distributing pre-set work and ensuring students stay on task
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Reporting any issues to senior staff
• Providing support where needed without teaching new content

Requirements:

• Experience working with young people (ages 11–18) in any setting
• Strong classroom presence and confidence
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage behaviour positively and fairly
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Right to work in the UK

We Offer:

• Competitive daily pay rates
• Flexible working options to suit your lifestyle
• A variety of schools and settings
• Weekly pay and dedicated support
• Ideal stepping stone into teaching (with optional CPD training)
