Summary
Phoenix Secure Transport is recruiting caring, responsible self-employed Passenger Assistants for SEND home-to-school journeys across Northamptonshire. This is term-time, assignment-based work with two daily runs: mornings from 7:00 and afternoons from 14:30. You’ll support pupils with additional needs during boarding, travel and drop-off, provide reassurance (including with anxious/distressed passengers), assist with seatbelts/securement, and communicate professionally with families and schools. You’ll follow safeguarding procedures, complete risk/incident reports, and maintain confidentiality (GDPR). Essential: PATS, First Aid, Safeguarding, and Enhanced DBS (Children & Adults). Desirable: experience with SEND, community or school transport. You’ll work alongside a Driver; dress code is smart casual/PST uniform provided. This is a contractor role; you invoice for completed assignments and are responsible for your own tax/NI. Typical hours align to school timetables, with occasional ad-hoc work by agreement.
